Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has been proven to work on the street, in war, in no-holds-barred competitions and in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu/Grappling competitions. Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches techniques such as Throws, Take Downs, Sweep, Trips etc.. to take the attacker to the ground, and then teaches techniques such as Arm Locks, Chokes, Shoulder Locks etc... to finish the attacker. The art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has an extensive Street Self-Defense curriculum within the art. The BJJ Street Self-Defense teaches techniques to defend against Abductions, Holds, Strikes and much more all from the most common attacks performed on the street.

Why is Jiu-Jitsu great for kids?

Jiu-Jitsu offers a wider variety of defensive tactics such as “Submissions” the ability to stop an attacker without truly hurting them. Submissions are the same tactics used by law enforcement and military.
